**Finder Help** Sort items by Kind but not using just "Other"

Hi,

Is there a way that you can add more file extension sorting options by kind in mac.

For example when you sort by kind it shows pdfs grouped etc in the view.

but files like .jpg .torrent etc are not in groups. Is there a way to change this or add an option in terminal?

Not 100% sure what you're asking but I think what you want it just:

Arrange by : None
Sort by : Kind

or

Arrange by : Kind
Sort by : Kind

I think what you really want is Arrange by kind to have more file type labels but I don't think that is possible.
