I am having some issues with my TC and Time Machine Backups. Right now I am attempting to understand what Finder is showing/telling me.

I am confused as to why I have two Time Machines listed in Shared. The second cannot be connected to. Home PC is obvious, the other is a PC laptop I believe. I am also unclear what Remote Disc is under Devices.

Much thanks for the 411.

That happens if you connect your drive to computer B, share the drive on the network. When you plug the drive into computer A, you see the drive twice.

You can ignore the "duplicate" shared device.

Remote Disc is for remotely accessing an optical drive on another Mac, when the Mac you are using does not have one.
