I just noticed that my Finder toolbar forward and back icons seem off. I tried deleting com.apple.finder.plist and restarting the finder, but that did not work. I tried logging out of my account and logging in on a guest account and the finder is normal. How can I fix this?

I suspect bad icon caches as the cause. These are found in your home folder -> Library -> Caches. After finding and removing the offending cache files, restart the Finder for the change to take effect.

Thanks but the problem turned out to be CrystalClear Interface 1.9.1 that I had tried, hated, and then uninstalled several weeks ago. Apparently the uninstaller failed to completely uninstall some customizations. The toolbar icons are not the default ones if you look closely. There's a glossy look to them.

My solution was installing the recently released CrystalClear Interface 2.0 and then reverting back to default by uninstalling. All is back to normal now. Thanks.
