Not sure when this happened but now when I try to view any .jpeg,
I get a distorted image w/ blocks..ect.
I tried to open these images in other apps..such as . Xee, Gimp..ect and all open without any issues.
so it looks like its just preview a problem. Is there a way to repair it or re-install just that?

I do get Beta updates w/ the OS...not sure if something got messed up from that or not.
Just installed the High Sierra 10.13.4 Dev beta.

The image pops up for a split second, then turns blocky / distorted.

The title of this thread says "Finder image issue," later you say "its just preview a problem." Do you mean you're viewing the image in a Finder window (Cover Flow view), or are you opening the image in the Preview app?

As far as I know, there's not a way to independently download/reinstall the Preview app, and there's definitely no way to do that for Finder - in either case, a reinstall of the OS is necessary.

Meantime, you're running a beta. Are you planning to report this as a bug?
