Does anyone else feel that Finder lags more in performing tasks (e.g. moving files, renaming files) after the update? My SSD-equipped 2011 MBP takes about 7 seconds to load my Downloads folder, which I access frequently. Admittedly, there are 6700 files/folders in the folder, but it used to load in under 1 second. Renaming files would see significant (~10 second) lag - the renamed folder does not show immediately in the Finder window. If only I am experiencing this issue, there must be a fix. Could you suggest one?

P.S. Please pardon my bad English. I'm not a native speaker.

about a 3 to 5 second delay

same here.
VERY annoying.
about a 3 to 5 second delay before the contents appear after clicking on a folder.
even when trying to attach something in Mail, same lag.

i wonder if a complete forcing of spotlight will help?

May I know your system/Mac? It seems very few are experiencing this problem. Could be limited to certain systems, and we would be able to give Apple constructive feedback if we know the particular systems affected.

Same

Same for iMac mid 2011, although I don't think it's system specific.
Finder lags in displaying the content of folders with many items.
