I've researched this for a week now... and I can't seem to crack it.

I can see and access my Mac from Windows 7 Professional.

I CAN NOT see my Windows 7 machine from finder. (i can add it as a server; but only via IP... will not resolve DNS name "Media-server".

What do I need to look closer at or change so that Windows 7 machines show up in Finder?

And... is there a way to "map a drive" on the mac so that I do not have to continually go back and re-connect to server?

Thanks in Advance!

Are there any other PCs on the network? You may need to alter the file sharing settings on the server but it would be helpful to know some more about the network.

Thanks Samh!

There are other Windows 7 and Vista Machines on this network. I can see everything fine from Win 7 machines.... Mac sees nothing.

I was on another network the other day and a Win XP machine popped up in the finder fine.
