Finder not showing file changes

On Big Sur I run an application that moves a number of files from one folder to another.
If Finder has a window open on the destination folder none of the files show up. Get Info
reports there are files there but the Finder GUI shows an empty folder.

This has been going on for some time and is a real issue - anyone else seen this?
