once my macbook has fully booted up somtimes Finder Appears its quite annoying i checked if it was in login items it is not?

why is this? is a setting i can turn off?

it happens randomly

If you had a window open when you turned off your computer a window will open when it starts up.

At least I think that's what you're getting at. If not, of course the Finder starts every time you start your computer. It's always on.

oh, so if i leave Finder (Window) open it opens on startup. weird idea but ok.

thankyou

Well, even if you don't, it'll still be open. In OS X, Applications can be open without having any windows. In addition to browsing through files, Finder handles how your desktop icons appear, among other things.

If you quit absolutely every application in OS X, including Finder (which is posisble), Finder automatically opens anyway.
