At random points while using my computer my Finder will just suddenly quit. Even though it doesnt quit any of my running programs it is very annoying. Id say it happens like 7 times a wekk. Ive tried repairing permiisions but it still happens. Any idea?

Also, is there any was to search for corrupted files on my computer?

Running:
1 Ghz 17" PB
OS 10.3.2

Hold Cmd-s at startup to boot into Unix (single-user mode). Type either "fsck -yf" or "fsck - y -f" without quotes. Let it run. If any problems are found, repeat until none are found. At the end type restart. This is a check of your HD - it is the same check used by your Panther install CD. Hopefully this will fix it. If not, probably time to do clean install of OS :(

Try looking in the console and system logs to see if there are any error messages that show why the Finder is quitting. Also you may look for crash logs in ~/Library/Logs (all accessible via the Console application.)
