Hi!

Been using my Mac so far, and loving it.

However there is one thing that annoys me a lot. Sometimes when I drag some items in my current folder I am viewing into a folder shortcut in the sidebar, or into another Finder window the Finder window slides and runs around the screen to a different position, meaning my move was unsuccessful.

This usually happens when my Finder window is not in the centre of the screen. Is there some way to remove this 'feature'? I have to sometimes drag the window to the centre before I copy/move files...

Cheers

Do you mean that a Finder window opens with its contents when you drag a file over it? This is a feature, designed to allow you to drag files into subfolders with a single operation. To disable it, go to Finder -> Preferences -> General -> (uncheck) Spring-loaded folders and windows.
