Enclosed pictures for visuals, but I am unable to run my disk speed test for my Macintosh HD (Apple 120gb ssd) because it says my hd is read only. Disk Utility seems to think otherwise, as do I.

Works fine for the optical bay ssd however.

I am able to read and write on the drive so why am I getting this message and how do I fix it?

The only solution I've found and similar problem was with an external that had to be reformatted, which would require me to reinstall the OS and use my back ups. I've never done this but I am willing IF its the only solution.
