Finder Sidebar Preferences?

I am setting up a new PowerBook. I have a full backup of my previous one. Are the Finder Sidebar preferences stored in the com. apple.finder.plist file (so I don't have to re-create my Sidebar and icons)?

Do you try looking at the file to see what was in it?

The file you probably want is: com.apple.sidebarlists.plist

I don't really even know what a plist file is (other than a preference file), so I wouldn't even know where to begin to look in the file itself.

Would I just use TextEdit to open it?
