Finder tags not syncing

I have installed Mavericks on both my iMac and my MacBook Air.

Finder tags are not syncing properly, as in the iMac I rename grey color to Work, in the MacBook Air Finder shows that grey is Work now, but when I tag a file with the grey color on one file, the other computer the finder has crated grey color again with "grey" text.

Anyone?

Did you do this in Finder's preferences window and also customize your "favorite tags" bar? If not then the contextual menu will only tag your files using the traditional color-named tags (they are not gone). Are you sure that when you tagged the file on your Air, it also showed up as "Work" in Finder?

I read somewhere that the files will carry the tags color and info with them but will not retain their original tag name on another machine. Maybe this is your issue?

I have exactly the same problem.

I'm using MAC OS X 10.9.2

I made some tags with mavericks new tags feature.
Tags are shown on my work mac, but they do not synchronize with home mac.
Both macs are connected to iCloud.
Seems there is an option somewhere had to be turned on but I cannot find it

Anybody?

I solved it. I cloned one computer into the another.

Cheap solution, but It works
