finder template/prg missing

i recently reorganized my mac - perhaps deleted import system files that allow finder to launch properly. when i launch finder now, it opens in a plain window without side bar panel and top menu icons/back and forth buttons, can anyone share why and how to fix it without system reinstallation. thanks. :)

p.s.

note that i could still open the original finder window if i perform a spot light search. problem (displayed) occurs when i click the finder icon.
