On my 2013/ rmbp / 10.9.2 I can't retrieve an individual
photo from time machine. When I enter finder / Time Machine I get the iPhoto app pic and the option to restore the whole iPhoto library.

On my 2012 11" /10.9.2 air book the finder will show all the individual photos and allow me to pick only one to restore.
Is there a setting on the rmbp that would allow finder to show the individual photos?

I am new to Mac and computers in general so I'm sure it probably a simple setting that I'am not aware of.

Well iPhoto uses a package to store all it's pictures in /YourHardDrive/Users/YourUserName/Pictures/iPhoto Library and right lick on the "Show Package Contents". A new finder window will open and you just have to navigate to the pictures you want to restore.

Thank You Satcomer, That worked and I was able to retrieve the deleted photo.
