I've been reading about all sorts of Snow Leopard problems.

I've had Java problems, Firefox problems and web streaming problems.

Today's is the worst:

1. Had another black screen of death [a few dozen since upgrading to Snow Leopard].
2. Rebooted, but my Finder didn't show up, just Activity Monitor, which I set to automatically run at startup.
3. All my other programs in the Recent menu in the Apple menu run.
4. I stuck in my Snow Leopard system install disk and ran Disk Utility to fix my permissions and do a disk check, then I set out to reinstall, but I didn't quite have 3.7GB of memory free for the install.

THE PROBLEM....

I can't get into my computer to delete a few GB necessary for the system to re-install. Help! :)

I'm on a MacBook from mid-2007, running 10.6.6 with all updates installed and 2GB ram.

Thanks
