Recently noticed in the Finder along the left column, the Today, Yesterday, and Past Week searches are all broken. As in they don't return any search results.

Just happened out of the blue from what I remember... is there a fix?

I am using 10.6.2.

"this week" search works, "today" & "yesterday" have no results,

iMac with 10.6.8

The fix above: Sys Prefs > Spotlight > Privacy > drag the mac hard drive into Privacy

Does not appear to work in 10.6.8 snow leopard. The result it the hard drive "bounces" right out as in, cannot be dragged to Privacy.

What does it tell us that "last week" search works but "today" and "yesterday" do not?

In fooling around I also have 2 sidebar "today" icons, one with a clock and one with a folder. I can't erase either it seems.

About the only good news I have here is I bought Camtasia for Mac. It's one of the very few programs I've used that gives me an optimal mac user expereince.
