Finder Trouble?

Alrighty. This happens quite frequently actually. When I go to open a folder, which i know has items in it, it shows up blank. Then I will hit the backspace button and then the forward button and I can see the files contained in that folder. Also cant mount disk images b/c when I go to drag for example BF2142 into my app folder or my desktop the little copying to desktop/app folder message no longer comes up. Used to be able to fix by restarting Finder. No longer works, have verified hard drive and reset permissions. Would loveee some hellpp!

Are you trying to connect to an Internet-based server, like iDisk? Or is this happening in every Finder window?

Every single window that involves finder. Ex. trying to open applications folder and nothings there click dif folder, click applications folder again and you see everything in their.
