Update: the files are located on a 2TB MP600 SSD. After copying them to another drive, reformatting the MP600 and copying back the speed has been restored.

I "upgraded" my 2019 Mac Pro to Ventura 13.1 and notice Finder is very slow listing folders with large number of files.
Monterey did not have this issue - anyone else experiencing this?

If I list the folders in Windows 10 via Parallels there is no speed issue.

Spotlight is disabled.

I did a BlackMagic SSD throughput test and the speeds are around 3GB/second.

Finder is not slow here, or, based on this forum, for most people. so, no need to 'avoid' it 🙄

perhaps spotlight is still indexing?

EDIT: glad you got it resolved 👍
