Finder window doesn't hard drive available space

In Snow Leopard, the bottom of the Finder window showed how much space the hard drive had left. This bar is missing in Lion. Checked Preferences but couldn't see an option to reinstate.

Is this feature gone for good? Can I reinstate it? If not, what's a quick and easy way to check how much space I have left?

Click the Apple icon > About this Mac > More Info > Storage
