Is there a way to actually keep the finder window open when clicking outside of it? For instance, I have iPhoto open and I'd like to drag some pics into a folder in finder. As soon as I click in iPhoto, the finder window goes away. Is there a way to keep it from doing that? Thanks

Edit: using Moutain Lion

Do you have the windows on top of each other? Try dragging the windows for each application to either side of the screen, and possibly resizing them. Also, make sure you aren't in full screen mode for iPhoto.
