Apple changed the format of the library in finder to keep users from mucking about in there and corrupting the file system. The app organizes that folder so that the app can work, and if you muck about in there, the app will be rendered unable to work. Stay out of the library in finder. You risk corrupting or losing your photos. Upload from within iPhoto app. You may have to export the photo to your desktop and upload from there, or drag it to the desktop to upload, but that is better / easier than fixing a corrupt library. In addition, you will get the most recent version of your photo, not a previous version.
