Hi
I am trying to name my computer xxxxx and its telling me "This computer's local hostname "xxxxx.local" is already in use on this network. The name has been changed to "xxxxx-2.local".
I'm having a hard time trying to find the other computer called xxxxx so I was wondering if there was a way to generate a list of the local hostnames of the computers on my network so I can find the computer named xxxxx and change it. I don't know what other computer could be called xxx because I am on my home network in charge of all my computers and I don't recall naming another computer xxxxx but I'm guessing this is my best shot. I did previously have my router named xxxxx but I've since changed it to 'xxxxx airport'.
Thanks for your help,
