So I have a large directory on an internal drive that I have added to the Privacy list in Spotlight prefs so as not to have these files show up in everyday spotlight searches (lots of dups and backups of other files).

However, I'm finding that once you add something to that privacy list, there is NO WAY you can search for it.

Is this correct? Even if I bring up a Finder window on that drive, it won't search in that folder because it's in the Spotlight privacy tab?

Is there any attribute I can change to have it override that setting...or do I have to actually remove it from the privacy tab, wait for spotlight to index it, search, then add it back?
