OK. I've been using a mac for a few years now but I am very frustrated using finder to search for files. For example, I want to find my Windows 8 virtual machine that I created a couple of months ago, so I opened up a finder window and searched for Windows 8 in the search part of finder, but then finder shows me all kinds of files without Windows 8 in the name of the file, like 70+ files.

OK, mac experts, please tell me I am doing something wrong because if I am not, well, then finder sucks. All I want to do if find a file with a partial name search.
Thank you!

P.S. I forgot to mention that I want a list in alphabetical order for my search. Hell, even Windows XP can do this.

Click this to restrict your search to file names only:

Just click on the "Name" column heading in your search results to sort by name.
