I recently switched to a new AW11, but my older Series 2 was working fine. It has now been reset and showing the "bring close to iPhone" graphic to reconnect.

Is there anyway to use this older watch perhaps connected to a charger and use as a clock on the nightstand or anything? Or is this just electronic junk now? Seems like a waste. Doesn't see like I can do anything with it unless I connect it with a phone or is there another way?

You can keep two watches paired and use one while the other charges. You won't have cellular of course.

Or you could give it away?
Or let Apple recycle it of you're close to a store.

No need to throw it into the trash.
