I've had my iPod Touch for a month and I'm finding it hard to get to grips with how I can use this thing's Wi-Fi capability when I'm out on the street.

What do I need to do to locate and use hotspots? Are many free? Of those that aren't, what's the most economicale way of using these?

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Regards

John

do an app search on wifi or wi-fi . there's a fair few in there both free paid for.

i use wifitrak. cost me 59p. it's great for scanning for wifi signals whilst on the move. it does a scan every half second or so and shows all wi-fi bands within range of me, shows what level (if any) security there have, and gives me the option to log on to them. i live near Cardiff and dont find hardly any public wifi spots, but, i quite often stumble past wifi signals that are open security and i can easily log onto them.
