I got a special offer for the mid-2016 15 macbook pro with touch bar(around $2000)
it is a very nice price.
but after read some posts here, i am not confidence to buy the 2016 version of mbp.
Seems there were a lot of different issues, what do u guys think ?

If you have AppleCare, don't damage the machine yourself, and are willing to part with it for a max of a week for a repair, then go ahead. Apple takes care of you. The downside is time spent without the machine.

Also, you can wait for 2017s to show up on the refurb store.

I'm assuming kingcodfish meant AppleCare doesn't cover accidental damage, where as AppleCare+ does. 2017 is when Apple switched to the latter.
