Fingerprints on black MacBook?

Are the fingerprints on the black MacBook easily visible? Any opinions on the black MacBook vs. the white one? I am looking to buy one soon, so I would like some more info and opinions. Thank you!

Yes and no... if your fingers are the least bit moist then there will be slight marks, but they fade after 5-10 minutes if you were to stop typing and leave the MacBook alone. The matte finish will NOT show the finger prints perminatly.

i wouldn't worry about it too much. its much better than the eventual dirt and gunk you will start to see on the white keyboard of the white MacBook.

If fingerprints bother you that much, you can also carry around some iKlear travel singles.

but honestly.. it's a laptop. It's going to get fingerprints, it's going to (Eventually) get a dent, it's going to get a scratch. While it's annoying to look at, just remember that the inside of the computer is what matters.. it'll still be blazingly fast if there are fingerprints on the outside.

True, and i agree with all of the above. I did go to my Apple Store the day after they came out and checked out the black 'Books, and they did have smudges all around it, but then again there's hundreds of people checking them out. Thanks for the info, and I'll take it into consideration to my hopefully soon purchase !


Also, what about the white one still? My brother owns a 14-inch G4, and scratches so easily, and also shows prints. Same with MacBook? Does the Balck MacBook scratche easily, or at all? So many questions! Help!
