ok i bought a black macbook, its amazing, my first mac, never been happier with a laptop and operating system, however i am noticing some not a lot tho fingerprints on the case and i was wondering whats a safe way to clean those offand if it could be used on the keyboard trackpad and inside case? thanks by the way apple owns windows, i am a switcher and i will never go back, once you go black (macbook) you dont go back

Welcome to the world of the color black. There is nothing I can think of that's glossy black that's w/o fingerprints.
My iPOD nano is glossy black, I have the clear plastic film over it. But it has bubbles and stuff, so it's ugly. But i dun care.
My car is black and i used to wash it once every 2 weeks. Not anymore.
It's something that has to be dealt with
Unless it's matte black.

Its not glossy tho. Its matte
I'm also wondering what will clean up the outside, as scuffs to appear pretty easily, but most dissappear with the rub of a finger, actually. But after a few days of a lot of hands on time, the black does show smears and streaks. not too obvious, but definitely takes away from the clean-looking design. At first i was really nervous about the trackpad showing sweat and/or grease marks. That really hasn't been the case yet, I'm going on 2+ days of lots of handling, and I can tell I definitely want to get a sleeve when they come out. It's not that bad, and the black really is beautiful. The pictures don't do it much justice, and the keyboard feels good. Love the magsafe and the fact that there's no latch. I played a couple windows games earlier today, and turned all the settings on high. Keep in mind they were gta vice city and nba live 2006, but they still looked beautiful. If this is as bad as it's going to get with integrated graphics, I'll buy another. Oh yeah, the bluetooth kb and mouse worked in xp, by the way. Something that didn't work with an install of boot camp on my core duo imac 1 or 2 months back.

I also have a Black MB, and I have had a MBP as well. For both of these, I've used a "SUPERCLOTH" which works really well. It's sort of a chamois you use, just wet it, wring it out well (so that it's just damp) and then wipe down everything, it even cleans screens without windex perfectly. I also follow the wipe down with clean, white, terry cloth towel to get the water right back up. It took all the fingerprints off, as well as the markings on my trackpad.
