I got the last 2 Firecuda 500GB for 126 something including tax.

Not bad for 3.2 Gen 2x2. But it came with a usb c cable labeled 10. Meaning 10gbps probably. Should have been 20. It test in black magic about 800 not even close to the 2,0000 read and write the box says. Maybe a 20 cable with help. It's still a good deal. So I want to buy a 20 cable just to test before I decide whether to return these or not.

How to identify a proper 2x2 20GB cable?

Possible cable here - if you want that 20 Gbps marking.

But, also found this test report about that Seagate drive. Several years ago, but perhaps the USB performance has never been changed...? https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/seagate-firecuda-gaming-ssd

What Mac are you using with that drive?

I called seagate tech support. Totally useless. They said you need a special 20g port which my Mac does not have. It does 40gb with usb 4 and thunderbolt 3. So should be backwards compatible. But they said they are not sure what cables might help or if it would at all. The usb 4 I mentioned might work but no guarantees. Totally useless tech support.
