Running 10.5.7 and Firefox 3.5.2. I have tried to reinstall FF, as well as deleting the profile.

I can print ONCE, after that, unless I quit FF and restart before trying to print again, it will crash if I try to print again - as soon as I choose File > Print or press Cmd-P. It has happened about a dozen times today, on numerous sites.

Any ideas?

Here's what Console shows immediately after the crash:

Code:
Jul 27 21:11:05 -macbook com.apple.launchd[74] ([0x0-0xc70c7].org.mozilla.firefox[3003]): Stray process with PGID equal to this dead job: PID 3011 PPID 1 crashreporter
Jul 27 21:11:05 -macbook com.apple.launchd[74] ([0x0-0xc70c7].org.mozilla.firefox[3003]): Exited with exit code: 1

Trashing the Firefox folder in ~/Library/Application Support/ didn't help either.

I've seen crashes when printing to a printer of Adobe PDF and when using Print > Preview since 3.0. It continues for me in 3.5.2, although I think it's gotten worse in 3.5x. I used to be able to print once, but now frequently it crashes the first time I print. I've seen nothing useful in Console.

Same problem for me when I try to print. Crashes and have to restart Firefox. Definitely never used to happen prior to the 3.5 update. I always send the error report but 3.5.2 has not fixed it either.

Me Too!

Only happens for me when I <Command> <P> If I print from the File menu it is fine. Interesting! Hope they release a fix on this soon or Opera will have a new customer. Or I may just give the new Safari a try.

Feel free to get in touch if anyone figures out a solution.

Just tried that method ... still crashes on the second print attempt.

I would love to use Opera, but 1password doesn't work with it.

Nope. Canon.

it might still be a printer driver problem, as the bug report did mention canon printer as well.

practically, I dont know which would be a faster solution, I guess it doesn't hurt to try to goto canon website and see what they have.

Downloading the newest driver, although I think it may be up to date already.

I will let you know, thanks clevin.

EDIT: Still crashes.

sorry couldn't help further.

except doing things like installing addon "screengrab" which just grab the whole webpage into a png, then print it from preview.

its not an ideal solution tho. So if its important to you, you could try out other browsers for now, until Mozilla fix it.

PS. newest firefox is 3.5.2, you might already have it tho.

PS2. maybe post to mozillazine.org could help more.
