the performance is great, especially on crazy js sites (google reader, digg, etc). Its crashed a couple times though.

It seems to be a bit faster than 3.5.4, but still not as snappy as Safari.

Wow. This sucka's fast. MUCH faster than 3.5.4 or Safari. At least, this has been my experience.

I like the new tab feature that opens new tab right next to the current tab. For example, if you have loads of tabs open and click on one in the middle and open a new tab related to that one - it will simply open it next to that previous tab, as opposed to placing it at the end of the tab line! Nice one... :cool: I guess they got that off of Opera.

Anyone know when official 3.6 is slated for?

Too little, too late. I went over to Safari after 3.5. I'll give 3.6 a try when it's out, but I cba frakking around with betas and incompatible addons.

By the end of the year. Nice, huh? I'll take the startup performance increase, but it sucks that we have to wait so long for the next major release.

Yeah, seems pretty cool. Dang, end of the year is still quite far... That sucks. Hopefully it will be earlier.

On that note, what's up with Safari? Has Apple been sleeping or what? I see no signs of v. 4.0.4 or even 4.1...

run this command to get all of your add-ons to work:

In the address bar (Cmd + L), type 'about:config' (without the quotes);
Then click 'I'll be careful, I promise!';
Right Click on the list in front of you, then go to New, then Boolean;
A window should pop up asking for a name. Call it 'extensions.checkCompatibility' (without quotes) and press ok;
Then it should ask for a value. Highlight false, and click ok.

Then restart Firefox.

On the one hand are these (trunk - Minefield ) 3.7 builds only more experimental and when a bug fix is save enough will you see this change later inside the 3.6 (branch - Namoroka) nightly and then in the final version.

On the other hand work they already on 3.7 and 4.0.
For example:

to pay especially attention to the slide show presentation

or: http://blog.stephenhorlander.com/2009/10/05/mac-theme-refresh/

Cheers

Cool. Thanks for this!

That worked great! Thanks Greenman!

Or you could install the Nightly Tester Tools add on that lets you override addon compatibility easily.

this allows you to have one less addon, which takes up memory and slows down firefox. this is a simple code that anyone can do and you dont have to host a whole addon to do it.

This seems to be a short term fix. I see after restarting my Mac the add-ons are no longer enabled. So I need to run this command each time I restart? That's a problem....

I'll correct myself...compatibility checking remains disabled. I must have accidentally enabled again.

I was about to say that you probably enabled the compatibility checking.

Yep...that's what I did!

My favorite add-on..."All-in-One Sidebar" works...except that my bookmarks aren't showing in h sidebar tab? There's a search box...but it doesn't seen to work.

Oh well!

Anyone else finding the beta crashes on them? I would like to try it out, but don't want to mess around if it unstable. I think it might be an extension issue, since most people here have shut off add-on compatibility (which I plan on doing when/if I install it).
