Recently I updated to Firefox 3 RC1, and now I am unable to setup a keyboard shortcut for homepage. It worked fine with Firefox Beta 5

I am using ctrl H through Mas OS X keayboard shortcuts for Firefox History Home menu.

Anybody has been able to make it work?

thanks

Well I am on a macbook .. and there is no Home key.

And as I see in my Firefox installation, there is no default keyboard shortcut associated to Homepage. That's why I decided to setup one by myself

It doesn't work for any shortcut that you change

It is quite frustrating actually. None of the shortcuts that you change works. I use ^T for new Tab and ^W for close tab. They have stopped working since RC1.

RC2 doesn't correct the bug.

I use OSX Keyboard shortcuts

Application: Firefox
Menu Title: Home
Keyboard Shortcut: ^H ... or anything else

It worked very vell with Firefox 2, and Firefox 3 beat5, Broken since RC1

On the MacBook, you can use Fn-Opt-LeftArrow.

I just installed the released Firefox 3.0, and it exhibits the bug. I had defined Cmd-. to go to the home page. When I press it, the History entry in the menu bar lights up briefly, but nothing happens.

However, Opt-Home is the official shortcut, and it continues to work. You just have to know that Fn-LeftArrow is Home on the MacBook keyboard.

Thanks I will use this.

I still hope they will fix custom keyboard shortcut

Same here, tried to remap 'Find Again' but didn't work.

The reactions on Firefox' Bugzilla don't sound very promising though. I guess I have to get used to cmd-G

Josh mentioned an addon would solve the problem.

And yes, for the reasoning behind it, im glad they patched more severe bug, thats always good.
