Any suggestions? It is stuck trying to load a page, but I can't click on any links or buttons, nor can I quit or force quit. I have used force quit in the dock, in the menu, etc., and when I try to shutdown or restart, it says I have to quit Firefox first.

I have also turned off my Airport connection, to no avail.

Can anyone help me out? I am using a MacBook. Should I remove the battery to make it go dead?

Thanks in advance! Gotta' love updates!

Removing the battery solved it. On reboot, it had quit. I tried the power button as well, and with the other attempts, it said I had to quit Firefox first.

Thanks for the tip on terminal, though. I'll keep that one in mind next time.

Easiest remedy...

Just click on Apple icon in toolbar.

Select Force Quit

Highlight Firefox

That is IT. This will quit your Firefox and you can finally shutdown your MacBook again.

I had to Google this for over 30 minutes before I found what worked for me~!

I'm going to use Google Chrome from now on.
