what does it do?

creates a filmstrip of thumbnails -- ThumbStrip, get it? -- so you can see your history, and stop guessing at page names in the history sidebar. You can even share your ThumbStrips! After you install it, a small icon will appear in your browser's toolbar. Click the icon to view your ThumbStrips at the bottom of the screen.

It doesn't matter if the tab(s) has(ve) been closed. Or in which tab the page was originally loaded.

Thumbstrips will generate a thumbnail instantly and place it at the bottom of the page UPON the finish of the page loading. Doesn't matter if the new page is replacing an old page in current tab, or load a page in a brand new tab. Thumbstrips gives you a thumbnail history of your browsing session for your convenience.
