Just started using Firefox and liking so far except for one BIG (to me) feature. In Safari you right click on a word and it can look up the word in All Reference Libraries and also pronounce the word. Can Firefox connect to the All Reference Libraries the same way?

no it can't, firefox is not integrated into OSX to that level.

as an alternative, there are multiple dictionary addons you can try which will give you a floating windows inside the webpage for definition of the selected (or cursor pointed) word(s). goto addons.mozilla.org and search for dictionary.

e.g.,
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4800
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1171
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10289
Thanks, I'll give them a try.

Tried them and they do a good job except for what I need the most. They don't work when I'm typing in a fill in box. What am I missing or doing wrong?

Found on that actually works with the built in Apple Dictionary (All Reference Libraries) . However it suffers the same problem of all the others: It won't look up words in a fill in box. Is there some design flaw with Firefox that prevents this?

An inconvenient workaround is to hit preview but why must you?

After Firefox3.5 ("Shiretoko") is released, the next version of Firefox will be developed under the project name "Namoroka"

Goals - System Integration

* OSX Dictionary integration
* OSX Services & AppleScript integration
* OSX Keychain integration

Thanks, this is good/bad news. Bad because it sounds like it may be a few months.

Oddly on my HOA forum site it will allow look up of words in the fill in boxes. Even stranger the site doesn't work with Safari (one of the reasons I went to Firefox). It would always say to turn on cookies even though they were on.:confused:
