I have duplicated a peculiar behavior on three separate Macs: downloading large files in Firefox via the very handy addon "DownThemAll!" (especially useful to me its bandwidth-limiting feature), download speeds drops to just a few KB/sec when Firefox does not have focus, regardless of the selected download speed (which is otherwise honored perfectly as long as Firefox has focus).
If I bypass DTA and just use Firefox's 'Save Link As...' function, this behavior is not present (but of course lacks the aforementioned bandwidth-limiting).
On numerous Windows PCs, this behavior is not present regardless of Firefox's state of focus.
Has anyone experienced/noticed this and have any ideas for 'fixing' it? I like to download with Firefox+DTA, but browse the web with Safari, and that arrangement causes downloads to practically stall to zero. The DTA support/FAQ/forums do not acknowledge or address this issue.
