Firefox and rar files

When ever I go to download an .rar file when using Firefox I always get the save as dialogue and the option to automatically download is grayed out.

I would like to automatically download .rar files when I click on them. Yes, I know about the application tab in Firefox preferences but there is no entry for .rar files and no option for adding it.


I am currently using:
Firefox version 3.5
Mac OS X 10.5.7
and I use "The Unarchiver" to handle rar files.
