If you just want the icons (and note the site name) in the bookmarks toolbar, when you add the site as a favourite, delete the entry in the 'Name' field, and ensure that you have changed the folder to Bookmarks Toolbar.

i have tried this but there is no icons at all even with the sight name up

Are you using the standard theme? I just switched back to it from the Noia Extreme theme that I use and noticed that the icons were missing, although if you run the cursor over where they should be it does see buttons
