Firefox doesn't save pictures

Hi, I did a Google and a forum search to solve my problem, but no luck. Whenever I right click a picture and 'Save-As' it saves a blank file to my desktop. If I right click the file and select 'Open With > Firefox' it opens in Firefox. If I select 'Set As Desktop Background' it will correctly save the file for reference. Any ideas how I can fix this? It's annoying.

Found this. Not sure if you have already tried the steps outlined.

The steps didn't help, but it led to an idea that did. If anyone else ever has this problem, go into Firefox preferences and change the folder where your downloads go. Mine was set to save to the Desktop and I changed it to Documents and now it's working fine. =) Thank you for the link, without it, I would not have thought to do what I did.
