Firefox download speed counter

Anyone know of a program that tells you your surfing/download speed realtime?

Would like to know if im getting the download speed im paying for?

Firefox for Windows.

i m on my cell now, so can't copy and paste url.

u can goto firefox addon site, search for 'info'. there are several extensions for that. most of them are firefox 2 only.

webpages are small, so it download time, speed are mostly not an accurate test of ur bandwidth.

Thanks, i've been using that site for over a year now and quite like it, but its not what im after.

What i would like, is in effect a car speedometer for my browser, something that is oddly missing.

The Istat pro widget is probably the best thing. It'll measure your total download speed (all apps)
