Firefox has been giving me the beach ball

I think it started after 10.4.7, not sure. I'm running Firefox 1.5.0.4.

Every few minutes I get the spinning ball, it usually ends after 20 seconds or so, but it's really annoying.

Anyone else with this problem?

firefox (3.0.3) on mac (10.5.2) it's giving me the same problem. It's really annoying. Anyone knows how to solve it?
