Since before the latest update there are no words at all appearing in
the Bookmark Edit window. After selecting "Bookmark this page" from
the menu, the Bookmarks Edit window lists all my bookmarks as a blank,
the folders are in there next to no word. The name of one folder at a
time will appear after clicking a folder Icon in there, but disappears
after I click another Folder Icon.
The only option I have to Bookmark a page, which I do regularly can
only be Bookmarked in the Main Menu. This means I have to manually move
the new bookmarks into each appropriate folder via the Organize
Bookmarks menu. This is quite tedious to do, my Firefox 3.0.11 has the identical problem.

No.

But could subscribing to an RSS feed give me any cause for concern ?
This was the last action I did in the Browser before I noticed the problem ?

no, it shouldn't

first try disable all addons and enable them one by one see if any of them is causing the problem.

Success, thank you kindly clevlin, it was Ghostery 2.0.0 that was causing the problem.

Google Desktop Search 1.1 although Not compatible with Firefox 3.5.2 won't uninstall but I don't think it matters, does it, I mean its not enabled ?
Don't worry replying if you agree with that.
