Firefox not remembering logins in Lion

New Mac user here. Firefox 6.0 (and the previous version) won't remember my website logins and it's driving me crazy! And yes, I am checking the box that says "remember me" when logging in. Once I close out Firefox and then open it and go to the same site I have to login again.

I have to assume this is a compatibility thing with Firefox and Lion (this doesn't happen on my hackintosh running 10.6.6 and Firefox 6.0). Maybe I should post this on the Mozilla forums but I was wondering if anyone here has a solution? Thanks!

If you just started using Firefox, try deleting your history and cache for firefox and try again. I've run into this before.

Figured it out. Firefox was in Private Browsing Mode. Not sure how that got turned on!
