[FireFox] Odd problem with pop ups

I have the option to block pop ups turn on and add them to the exceptions list as i need them.
But if I happen to click on a link with a javascript pop up link it is blocked but any links after that I happen to click stop working?
I have to close the browser and restart it to get links to work again.
This is 2.0.0.3 on a Mac Mini with
System Version: Mac OS X 10.4.9 (8P2137)
Kernel Version: Darwin 8.9.1
