Hi guys,

I've switched to Mac a few years back, but I haven't switched to Safari from Firefox, which I really want to... The issue is; there is a Firefox plugin which really keeps me from switching, and I couldn't find any great alternatives for Safari until now.
As kind of a last resort I wanted to ask you if you know about a similar sort of plugin.

All I need is a very simple plugin which can make a screenshot from the visible portion of a webpage, or the entire page, and save it as a png of jpeg. No notes... no sharing... not other 'extra options'. Just a simple screenshot tool.

Does anybody know a similar sort of plugin for Safari?
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I use Snagit. It's not a browser plugin, so you can take a screenshot of anything. I'm sure there are others, but I've been happy with this one and haven't bothered looking for more.

Thanks Pjrufus, I'll have a look at that one

You should bookmark the Apple site OS X: Keyboard shortcuts.

Use these shortcuts to take a picture of what you see on your screen. You can also use Grab to take screenshots, an app located in the Utilities folder.

Key combination What it does
Command-Shift-3 Capture the screen to a file
Command-Shift-Control-3 Capture the screen to the Clipboard
Command-Shift-4 Capture a selection of the screen to a file, or press the spacebar to capture just a window
