Firefox pop-up message

Hm, Sounds like your opening the application from its original .DMG.
Open the DMG and drag Firefox into your Applications Folder.
If this doesnt work or you already have try this..
Find and check the access properties on the firefox profile. (What you say?!) Close Firefox - Click on your Main HD, users/your name/library/application support and remove the firefox folder from under the Application Support directory. Restart firefox.. that should do it.

Sorry I'm not familiar with all of this, so as embarrassing as it is to ask, what's a DMG? =p
Its a mountable disk image; think of it like a CD that you downloaded. You can open it and run stuff from it, but in reality it is best to take the information on the CD and copy it to your hard drive. So... find the .dmg for firefox (it should be either on your desktop or in the downloads stack, which is very close to the trash icon on your dock). Once you find it open it. Then you will get another image that looks like a white curvy rectangle. Open that, click on the firefox application and drag it into your applications folder.
voila, that should get rid of the message. If not, look at the other guy's previous post and follow the more complicated step.

It's a 'disk image' - it's a primary way of installing programs on a Mac. On your desktop, there should be a white icon that says "Firefox" under it. Open it. Now, click on the Macintosh HD icon to open Finder. On the left hand side of the Finder window it will have an item called "Applications". Drag the Firefox icon that is in the DMG to where it says "Applications" to install it. Now, drag the white DMG icon to your trash to dismount it. Open your Applications folder, find the Firefox icon, drag it to your dock and open it. It should come up with that "are you sure you want to open..." message. Close Firefox. Open it again using the icon on the dock, and it should load immediately without having the popup.
