Firefox quits when launched

After I updated to OS X 10.4.3, whenever I launch Firefox, it automatically quits the program. The second time I launch it, it opens the browser okay. Does anyone have this problem? I tried redownloading/reinstalling Firefox but I still have the same issue. Thanks
