Why does firefox run 10X better on Linux than ıt does on mac or PC ?

Same for me, I just notıced ıt ran faster on Linux...

Can you define faster? Did you run arduous benchmarks or does it just feel snappier?

I use sidux (which is a 'bleeding edge' linux distribution) as well as Mac OS X. I can't see any difference. Firefox is pretty fast on both systems.

Its excacly that: it feels snapier!
Any ideas as to why?
